Through the looking glass of film photography and in-camera effects, Mystical Creatures creates a world of mystery and illusion in a gender fluid world. Mystical Creatures Tarot is an experimental photo series by photographer Angela Izzo. Reconnecting Ancient and Modern realities, Izzo captures muses as archetypal characters in common settings. Using custom analog film techniques with non-standard cameras and film stocks, Izzo’s work immerses the viewer in intimate, dream-like fantasies.
